Sheilah Gashumba believes that beyond 21 years old, people should be able to spill their parents with treats to show gratitude for their sacrifice while raising them.

Via X, the media personality, emcee, and influencer urged younger people to always endeavor to put smiles on their parent’s faces when they achieve big things in life.

She noted that parents sacrifice quite a lot while raising their children and at some point should be able to just sit back and enjoy the fruits of their hard work.

From booking them flights to just sending them money randomly without them having to ask, Sheilah Gashumba says all these acts of gratitude can add joy to the parents’ lives.

I personally think by the age of 21, if your parents have taken you to school and have empowered you or if you are generally working and making money. You shouldn’t ask your parents for anything but rather spoil them. I believe when kids are born, responsible parents work soo hard and sacrifice a lot, so there should be a time when parents now enjoy treats, money etc from their kids.

Let’s learn to spoil our parents and allow them enjoy life when they can!! Book your parents that flight, send them flowers, book them a staycation, send them money without them asking, book them tickets to their favorite artist’s concert etc.

Her opinion has since attracted divergent opinions online.
