Model Trisha Ahwera Brenda is set to represent Uganda at the Miss World Next Top Model pageant in Lebanon.

Models from 23 countries will be participating in this year’s Miss World Next Top Model pageant. Speaking to Mbu, Ahwera revealed that she will be traveling to Lebanon for the castings which commence on Friday ahead of the finals set for 24th May.

Trisha Ahwera noted that she was noticed after her positive participation in the Top Model of Universe and was approached by the organizer of the pageant via Instagram to participate in Miss World Next Top Model.

“Being passionate about beauty, fashion, self-expression, and the love of my country, I picked and said yes,” she told us.

Despite taking part in pageants at the top level, Trisha Ahwera feels a bit nervous heading into this one but is also confident to deliver.

Am a bit nervous but again happy knowing that being on stage as part of a beauty pageant can be a nerve-wracking experience which will give me more skills and courage to motivate my followers who’d like to join modeling.

    Why this pageant?

Ahwera looks at the Miss World Next Top Model pageant as, “a doorway for those who want to be on stage, give back, and learn more about themselves.”

“With this, I’m expecting a lot of new skills that face new people from different parts of the world – learning, community involvement, growing, and career opportunities,” she adds.

She advises Ugandan models to reconsider each time they face rejection at different stages of their careers.

It’s a tough world, it’s harsh. You’re going to get rejected a lot. You’ll probably break down after a particularly unsuccessful audition at least once but what doesn’t stop you is because you want it!

Go for it as much as you’d want to see yourself in the camera. Dress and behave like a model in all that you do and that will get you noticed easily.
