The Bukedea District USSSA football boys champions, Bukedea Comprehensive School South continues with their amazing performance even on the regional level.
Though not with the maximum points, the district ‘Ssalongo’ extended their unbeaten run to round of sixteen. The side topped group E with seven points in three played matches.
On day two, the side shared spoils with Soroti SS in a goalless stalemate honoured on Saturday morning at Wiggins playground in Kumi district.
Bukedea bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory registered against Kobwin Seed. Goal poacher, Asega Halid scored the only goal that handed BCS qualification ticket. He converted from a spot kick following a foul play the penalty area against Glory Kisule.
Qualifying as the table leaders, Bukedea is likely to play against Teso College at round of 16.
Their sister school, Comprehensive School North also on a verge of qualifying to round of sixteen as table leaders of group F, the side’s encounter against Bishop Ilukor ended prematurely with referees claiming that it was already dark they couldn’t see the flow of the ball and the remaining 15 minutes are to be played on Sunday morning at the same venue. The match was still in the barren stalemate.
A draw of any kind helps Bukedea to top group F with at least four points since their group has three teams; Bukedea Comprehensive North, TCA and Bishop Ilukor.
Meanwhile , Amus College School qualified from group A as table leaders with Maximum points.
