Recently, we published a story revealing how stand-up comedian Simon Katongole a.k.a Bobi Brown, of the duo Bobi Brown and Nilo Nilo is battling bladder and kidney complications.
The entertainer has been bedridden for more than two weeks and was barred from performing again to rest his body.
He disclosed that he needed about Shs5m for the surgery before the end of this month or very early in November.
Following Bobi Brown’s revelation, comedians led by Taata Sam, Kalela, and MC Marachi called upon fellow comedians to make efforts to contribute money so that they would save their friends’ lives.
In the same meeting, MC Mariachi also disclosed that another comedian known as Cold Q is also in dire need of financial support as he fights for his life.
He explained that Cold Q needs a sum of Shs350k every day for medication since he is always on and off oxygen as he battles severe stomach complications.
The comedians also called upon event organizers to increase their rates for their stage performances as they are usually paid too little yet they do a great job of making people happy.
They also urged the government to help them secure the necessary funds to help in the treatment of their colleagues.
