Talent manager Emma Carlos has unveiled his approach to managing artists, talking about his well-structured business model.

Carlos explains his financial strategy when investing in an artist. He is willing to invest up to Shs50 million initially.

Once the artist starts generating revenue, Carlos first recovers his investment before moving into the standard revenue-sharing model.

He first recovers his initial investment and then goes into the standard management revenue share with the artist of 20% for brand development, 30% for the manager, and 50% for the artiste.

Addressing the topic of separations with artists, Carlos remarks that such occurrences are normal and part of the business dynamics.

He draws a reference to Swangz Avenue, one of Uganda’s leading record labels, which also experiences separations for various reasons.
