GNL Zamba has sternly warned musicians awarding organizers to stop nominating him in their categories ahead of the HiPipo Awards set for Friday.
The rapper says he is irritated by the exploitative awards that have been created since the collapse of the Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards).
He states that musicians’ awards lost value and the organizers only use musicians’ names and brands to exploit them.
Zamba says he does not want to be nominated again in any local musicians awards unless he submits a request for nomination.
He, however, acknowledges the Film, TV, and Fashion awards for the effort they put into rewarding outstanding personalities and he says he doesn’t mind being nominated in those.
What I’m mad at are the musicians awards that came after PAM Awards are rubbish. Do not nominate me if I do not submit something to your categories. I have been nominated in the Most Inspirational Song but don’t use my brand to promote your sh*t, I will sue you. Do not play with my brand, I did not tell you to nominate me. I don’t mind film, TV, and fashion awards nominating me, I love the Abryanz Fashion Awards, they put it in extra work to reward talent.
