Controversial Ugandan Pastor, Franklin Mondo Mugisha, who relocated to Canada has openly declared his intentions to contest for a political office in the 2026 general elections.
Speaking in an interview on Spark TV’s DailySoup gossip show, Mondo sent a stern warning to Hon. David Lukyamuzi Kalwanga who represents Busujju County, Mityana that he is coming for his position in the next election.
We are a group of individuals who are planning to return to Kampala from America for the next general elections and campaign. We are aiming to oust some MPs who are corrupt and facing trouble.
The MP representing my home area better get ready because I’m coming for your seat in Parliament. I come from Busujju, Mityana, Nsinsi village that is where I will be buried when I breathe my last.

Pastor Mondo further disclosed that he feels the MP representing his home area has done very little to uplift the lives and wellbeing of the locals and 2026 is the time to show him the exit.
When asked whether he is intimidated by the fact that he fled the country when he had some pending legal issues, he noted how he would solve the issues with the help of his lawyers.
It should be recalled that Pastor Mondo fled to Kenya after he was granted bail on charges related to forgery and a multi-billion scam.
