Kampala Creme reality TV star and Boujee CEO Deborah Nantongo a.k.a Mami Deb acknowledges how impossible it is to find a perfect partner but advises women who are searching for lovers to always look out for these qualities:
- Choose someone who will choose you
It is so important to choose someone that will choose you; someone that wants you, someone that can’t live without you and you can’t live without – every time.
- Good-hearted
You need a man with a good heart, someone with a kind heart that even if you got fat and grew old, would still be so kind to you, towards your family, and everyone who comes into your home.
- Patient
Someone patient with you. These signs are always there when you’re dating someone. You can easily see someone impatient with you by the way they react to situations. Someone easily annoyed is usually a red flag. You want someone who even when things are hard they are patient with you and have perspective to life to see beyond that particular moment.
- Supportive
You need someone that will not put you down, someone that will support you and whatever you are passionate about. For example, I am passionate about content and someone should not look down on what you do because, at the end of the day, you’re in a relationship to be the best version of yourself.
- Not a quitter
For me, my biggest thing is someone that doesn’t easily give up. I hate a quitter because I’m not a quitter myself. If I believe in something I go all the way. So one of my biggest turnoffs is someone who easily gives up on me. If you’re to go down the path forever, you need someone who will see a bad day as a bad day but not a failed relationship.
- God-fearing
Above everything else, you all need someone who fears God. It’s so important because it keeps bringing out the humanity in someone. They are always kind and they are not the type that will have children and abandon them. They always know their roles and make sure their lovers are happy.
- Faithful
If you ever land on an unfaithful man, run for your dear life. Men with wandering eyes are not good for you. If a man is not ready to settle down, don’t force him. You will regret it.
