Security measures have been increased at Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s Worship House Church in Nansana, Wakiso District, after a suspected bomb threat was reported.

According to Major Charles Kabona, spokesperson for the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) First Infantry Division, the authorities received the information about the threat yesterday.

Following the alert, a dedicated team worked throughout the night to investigate the premises. Fortunately, no explosives were discovered during their thorough search.

Despite the scare, the authorities have since given Pastor Bugembe the all-clear to continue with the planned Sunday service.

Major Kabona expressed his gratitude for the swift response and effective handling of the situation by the security forces, which helped restore normalcy and ensure the safety of the congregation.
