Former Amarula family comedian Mbuuse Yokana a.k.a Kapere Lufotose says he is seriously considering contesting for a political office come 2026 general elections.

Despite stopping in primary four, Kapere insists that he can represent the residents of Makindye in Parliament as well as their current legislator Allan Ssewanyana.

He notes that main role of a Member of Parliament is to effectively help voice the challenges his residents are facing something he says Hon. Ssewanyana has not executed.

He believes that his background and personal experiences make him the best candidate to represent the residents of his home area to solve their challenges.

An MP reaches out to his people and helps them. I don’t need education or English to know what my people want and I help them.

He also admitted that he would use Luganda in parliamentary proceedings since he is not fluent in English. He maintains that he wants to represent those who never went to school.
