Azawi, Bobi Wine, AnKnown, and Kapeke among other artists have released new visuals for their music projects this week and we look at them in this piece.
- Masavu – Azawi
Easily, Masavu is one of the biggest songs in Uganda so far since the start of the year, and Azawi – following a not-so-successful SANKOFA album – is finally shining again. She is topping the music charts yet again and we love it for her.
Produced by Bangar Boi, it is a party anthem and yet still appeals to people of all ages and the visuals directed by Marvin Musoke are pure hot masavu. Check it out:
- Swiririri – Kapeke feat. Rickman Manrick
On TikTok, Kapeke’s Swiririri is among the most trending Ugandan songs. In the club, this song is a banger. If it’s played, there isn’t any way you aren’t standing up to dance. Featuring Rickman Manrick, Kapeke is on the rise with this one and we love it for him.
- Man & Woman – Bobi Wine feat. Nubian Li
A continuation to their 2007 masterpiece “Adam ne Kaawa, Nubian Li, and Bobi Wine preach about the ever-evolving world and the era of rigid gender roles in their new song “Man & Woman”. The importance of man and woman working together harmoniously is emphasized.
Produced by Sir. Dan Magic, “Man & Woman” also highlights the recognition of each gender’s unique strengths and contributions to daily life and society. The colorful visuals directed by Edrine Paul are quite entertaining. Take a gaze:
- Mbwa Mwe – Grenade
Deus Ndugwa a.k.a Grenade Official is consistently dropping new songs this year. “Mbwa Mwe” is his third music video within two months and it is dedicated to evil-minded people.
- Believer – AnKnown
In his trademark vocals and music style, AnKnown Prosper delivers a beautiful piece on “Believer.” His fans have already asked him to go ahead and stage a concert for this particular song – that’s how big it seems to be getting in such a short time as it was released at the end of March.

- Embaga – Tino feat. Spyda MC and Cityboy
Tino & Spyda MC team up on this new song titled Embaga (which literally translates as “Wedding”). The song is about African marriages. It features Enricho MC who is widely known for his campaigning efforts for Juma Wasswa Balunywa.
