The draws for the 51st Edition of Stanbic Uganda Cup have been held today (Monday) 6th, January 2025 at Serena Hotel Kampala. 

Musician and a father to footballer, Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool was the chief Guest at the event that was graced by FUFA officials and the cup sponsors.

The non-league side, Football Classroom FC, that represents Kampala region has been drawn against FUFA big league side, Buhimba Saints FC. 

Football Classroom will host the one legged tie at Yes Centre Nsambya between 10th and 25th January 2025.

Kitara FC, reigning champion drawn against Young Simba.

In other draws, the reigning winners, Kitara Football Club shall visit Buganda regional league side, Young Simba as the leading champion, KCCA FC shall have a long route to Westnile to play a non league side 403 Brigade FC. 

The last edition’s losing finalists,NEC FC will visit UCU FC in Mbale.

According to Director Competitions, Hajjat Nalule Aisha revealed that the round of 64 shall be played between 10th and 25th January 2025 and games are supposed to be held on green pitches. 

At this level, the non league clubs, 5th, 4th and 3rd clubs shall be hosting the games.

Bebe Cool asserted revealed why he opted to promote football and he asserted some of the key points that can help football to develop.

Exposure:providing opportunities for exposure, likely through media, events, or competitions.
Internet and government support: Highlighting the role of the internet and government in promoting and supporting initiatives, such as the Africa Cup of Nations in Uganda.
Responsibility and mentality: Emphasizing the need for a sense of responsibility and a positive mentality among individuals, teams, or organizations involved in these initiatives.”
