The draws for the 6th edition of the USSSA Elite games held today (Friday) 7th, February, 2025 at Association’s head offices at GNS Plaza, Old Kampala – Mengo. 

There are different games that will be competed in for three days from 14th to the 16th February 2025.

For starters, this tournament is for the schools that performed better in the previous edition of USSSA competitions and acts as a precursor for the new season, this edition has attracted six disciplines; Volleyball, Football, basketball, handball, netball and rugby 7s. 

The draws which were graced by USSSA officials, officials from the hosting school (St. Joseph of Nazareth High School) participating team, saw girls’ football reigning champions, Kawempe Muslim SS pitted group A with Kampala rivals, Uganda Martyrs, Sacred Heart and Bukedde Comprehensive.

Group B has St Noa Girls, Amus College, Boni Consili Vocational SS and Sheema Girls.

 “We are ready to host the games. The playing fields are in the best shape and the accommodation facilities.” Julius Alpha Amega, the head teacher of St Joseph of Nazareth High School stated.

In boys football, defending champions, St Julian High School were pitted in group A with the last season losing finalists, Jinja SS, Bukedea Comprehensive and Standard High School Zana.

Boys’ football:

Group A for boy’s football has St Julian High, Bukedea Comprehensive, Jinja Secondary School (losing finalists last season) and Standard High Zzana.

Group B has Amus College School, Jinja Progressive Academy (champions in 2024), Kisozi Seed Secondary School and the hosts St Joseph Nazareth. 

In other disciplines, teams shall play in a round robin format.

Girl’s football:

Group A

Kawempe Muslim, Sacred Heart Gulu, Bukedea Comprehensive and Uganda Martyrs.

Group B 

Amus College, St Noa Girls, Sheema Girls and Boni Consili Vocational School.

All the schools are expected to report by Thursday, 13th February 2025.
