With three older sons — Raphael, Pinto, and Quincy, she advocates for them to explore relationships with women rather than men.
Zari, a mother of five from two different relationships, emphasizes her desire for her sons’ girlfriends to be a regular presence in their lives. Despite the evolving landscape of sexuality, Zari makes her stance clear, stating she does not support her sons dating men.
In a recorded conversation with her youngest son, Quincy, Zari questioned why he consistently mentions hanging out with male friends rather than discussing girlfriends.
You never tell me your going out with your girlfriend or even girls who are friends. I don’t want you to introduce boys to me as your lovers. Date as many girls as you can I am very happy to be meeting them too. Go get you some girls, make sure they’re pretty like me.
