Veteran TV presenter Robert Sekidde, popularly known as Tuff B, has gone public about his intentions to contest for the Makindye East Member of Parliament seat in the next general elections.

Away from hosting the KURT show on NBS TV, Tuff B juggles several careers including being an artist, events organiser, businessman, and philanthropist.

He now looks forward to adding “Politician” to his CV and has already begun the ground work, mobilising communities in the Makindye East area.

While appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Bigenda Bitya, the Ddogo Lyo singer revealed his plans to represent Makindye East in the next parliament.

Part of his major plans is to create a good relationship between foreigners and natives in Muyenga. He also yearns to improve the livelihood of the women and youths in the area.

He is not leaving TV though!

After over 17 years as a TV presenter, Tuff B is looking forward to continuing his TV career which he plans to juggle with his newly-launched political career.

I’m ready to represent Makindye East. I aim to improve relations between Muyenga’s foreigners and natives and enhance the lives of women and youth in Makindye East. I will continue my TV appearances, aiming for a 25-year media career.

If speculation is to go by, Tuff B is most likely to stand on Bobi Wine’s party – the National Unity Platform card.
